OnePlus Nord 5G is set to be launched in India and Europe on July 21, 2020.
The official first look of OnePlus Nord 5G was revealed on Jul 14, 2020.
Carl Pei, Co-founder of OnePlus revealed in a podcast interview with renowned tech YouTuber Marques Brownlee (MKBHD) that the main focus of launching OnePlus Nord is to provide a good affordable smartphone for their consumers in the mid-range segment.
The current smartphone market has a huge void in the mid-range segment because all the best major smartphone companies are focusing on developing a better flagship mobile phone than their counterparts.
OnePlus has identified it cleverly and has jumped into the mid-range category with their Nord series.
But why now, Carl Pei mentioned that OnePlus believes with the 765G chipset from Qualcomm it can provide its users with the flagship experience they are expecting from an OnePlus Smartphone.
It is said that Nord would have a user experience similar to the 800 Series because all the optimization and animations are done based on it in the 700 Series.
OnePlus Nord 5G Price and Products:
OnePlus Nord 5G is expected to be launched at a more accessible price point under $500 (Rs. 34,990). Along with Nord, there are a couple of other new products in the lineup they are also expected to be in the mid-range segment. In future, we can expect more affordable products in this product line from OnePlus.
OnePlus Nord will come with Google Messages, dialer and duo pre-installed.

Awesome described! I’m planning to buy a phone in this range. Only 1 disadvantage that I feel, there is no 3.5mm audio Jack. Am I Correct?

Hi Jack, yes there is no 3.5mm audio jack but you can use OnePlus Type-C to 3.5mm adapter.
